WHAT IS STICKY FINGERS PLAYGROUP?
Sticky Fingers is an English-speaking voluntary run playgroup in the center of Madrid. We started up to give mums, dads
and carers the chance to get to know each other while their kids and ours have fun doing art & crafts, music & movement with
plenty of free play in between. Most of us are expats with small kids, but it's also very popular with Spanish parents (an
early opportunity for their children to hear English!). But please keep in mind that it is not a nursery, or a business, the
idea is that you, the parent/childminder interact with your kids in this creative and fun environment. Therefore it is up
to you how much you and your child get out of each session. We gladly accept any ideas or help offered by other mums and dads!

We do an art and craft activity every session (lots of sticking, painting etc...)To make it a FUN and
learning environment we use themes for these activities.
THEME : The Alphabet. The theme for each session
is incorporated into the art and music activity
There is a play room with all the old favourites a dressing-up corner,a dolls tea-party,garage, legos, animals, and bricks...
We also have an outdoor area sand pit, seesaws, slide, outdoor toys, and in summer... a paddling pool, which, thanks to
the wonderful weather, is rarely out of action.
For the younger ones, we have a Baby Room,lots of soft toys, mats, books, playdough etc.
Since no playgroup is complete without The Wheels on the Bus, every session ends with Songtime.
We try to cater for all ages: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers... older siblings are welcome in the holidays.
And in the Summer, don't forget to bring a towel if you want to use the paddling pool!
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday
10.30-12.30 at:
Parroquia San Vicente Ferrer C/ Ibiza 43 bis
(opposite the junction with C/ Antonio Arias post office)
And once a month, depending on who can VOLUNTEER to
help we have THE SATURDAY CLUB.
Each Tue/Thur session costs:
7 euro/family (twins, siblings etc just pay once)
4 euro babies up to 12 months
